4. Beauty & The Business Trivia Question
:
Due to the website blues, answers to the trivia question were not properly received and processed This week's question is the same and the contest will occur afresh. Last week's answers will be disregarded. I apologize for any inconvenience.

This Week's Question: Written by Charles Perrault, I have been translated into dozens of languages and many stories have been written based on my general theme. I was the first successful ballet composed by Tchaikovsky's first successful ballet. A classic story am I, of a beautiful princess who awakens at the kiss of a prince, to marry him and live happily ever after. Name me.

Be the first to correctly answer this week's question and win a generous sample of lemongrass essential oil!

Please read the contest rules here before submitting your entry. Put "TRIVIA CONTEST ANSWER" in the subject line or your answer will not be considered.

While time does not permit me to respond personally to all entrants, the winner's name will be announced in the next newsletter!

5. Create The Life You LoveThe
Website Blues

Last week, I shared some thoughts on how important it is to begin training young people as early as possible to consider entrepreneurship as a professional and lifestyle option. If you missed that article, you can enjoy it here.

This week, I take a quick but heartfelt look at another type of blues -- the website blues. Oh, we've all had them right? The server is crowded so the site goes down. There's a virus going around that makes sites load so slowly that you could give birth before the even the home page downloads. The website designer is on vacation at just the time when you need that will make or break your business added to your site. I could go on and on about those sorts of things. They are totally beyond your control, yet they can wreck havoc in your business.

But what about the website blues brought on by things that are in your control? You know, those mundane things you don't think about much until you have to? Like, maybe, renewing your website domain? Well for those of you who enjoyed last week's trivia question and emailed an answer to me, guess what? I probably didn't get it. Guess why? Well, it was that mundane thing about renewing HBN's website domain that got me this time. Plumb forgot about it! Fortunately, HBN has a backup site that allowed the newsletter to be published on time. Unfortunately, your emails did not get to me.

So, I had the website blues. And that's why this week's trivia question is repeated.

Don't get the website blues yourself! Visit your hosting company regularly and use their websites to track when your website domains expire so you can avoid the website blues. Many hosting companies have an automatic renewal service and/or automatic notification services so you don't get the website blues. Take advantage of those services. They are worth it, even if there is a nominal cost attached. Ask me how I know ...

6. Handmade Beauty Product Review: Saturnina (what's that??!!)

Saturnina Loose Mineral Foundation by Monave Mineral Cosmetics
30 grams (about an ounce) | $25.00

While there are many exciting trends in the handmade beauty industry today, perhaps none of them are as exciting as the growing availability of color cosmetics from HBN members. Not long ago, I had the opportunity to visit Monave in Baltimore, Maryland, where Debbie Bilezikian was tasked with the job of creating a mineral foundation just for me. She took one look at my skin and said, "We don't even have to make one for you. You're a Saturnina ." Of course, I asked what that was, and voila! Debbie brushed a layer of Saturnina (see photo above left) loose mineral foundation on my cheek. It was like looking at my skin -- only smoother and more even-toned. How much fun was that?

While I don't use foundation much, before Saturnina , I was wedded to Aveda's Moisture Plus Tint in the Tea color. It works well mostly during the winter but I found it to be a bit oily for summertime use. Saturnina, on the other hand is great for all seasons. It's wonderful for my oily skin in the summer and does not dry out my skin in the wintertime. The consistency is nice and fine and it feels really soft going on my skin, especially when I use the make up brush I got from Monave to apply it. It's the perfect color for me as a rather light skinned (non-Caucasian) person with yellow skin undertones. It comes in a container with a sifter top and I'm very careful opening it so as not to spill any of the precious contents. The stuff seems to last forever!

To view Saturnina and all of Monave's foundation colors, as well as a host of their other mineral cosmetics in every color of the rainbow, visit their website.
