Baby
Gift Box
$7.50 | 2 oz. soap, wash cloth, 4 oz. lotion, 2oz. baby balm
As the mother of a 1-year old daughter with that beautiful petal soft baby skin, you can bet I don't want to put anything on it that would cause the slightest irritation. That's why I usually make most of her beauty products. But now and then, I either don't have the time or the inclination to mix up stuff on my own. That's why I'm glad there's Silk'n Shea's baby products. You can find the Baby Gift Box and lots of other silk and shea filled products at HBN member Silk'n Shea.
In addition to a soft baby wash cloth, the Baby Gift Box comes with 3 unscented baby products: baby lotion, baby balm and baby soap. The balm is my favorite. I'm sure if my daughter could, she'd fight me for it. Packaged in a 2-ounce screw top plastic pot, the balm feels very nice on my skin ... I like to use it on my feet and elbows, as well as all over my daughter. (I have used wonderful baby balms before and I always thank companies that package the baby products in plastic. Nothing makes diapering a little one more difficult than having to keep track of a glass jar that could cause serious injury if dropped onto a tile floor.)
The baby lotion (4 oz. plastic pump bottle) is next in line for my kudos! I love the creamy way it feels going on my skin. My favorite part is that it feels rich but does not leave behind a greasy sensation. I like to put it on my hands throughout the day and it works especially well to keep my cuticles soft in this cold snowy season in the Mid-Atlantic.
One thing I usually look for in a handmade soap is a frothy lather, but bathing my baby is one time when I like to skip it. The 2-ounce bar in the Baby Gift Box is perfect because it contains no coconut oil. The mild lather is produced by shea butter, hempseed and sweet almond oils, enhanced with castor. It's the perfect creamy bar cleanser for delicate skin. I've been using it on my face too!
I just came back from Silk'n Shea's Web site to place my order for a Baby Gift Box to give my cousin as a shower gift this weekend. You can buy Silk'n Shea's Baby Gift Box and lots of other silk and shea filled goodies at Silk'n Shea.
