3. Handmade Beauty Product Review by Donna Maria
~ Cowgirl Cream by Cowgirl Enterprises
$ 24.00| 2 ounces
As you know, I tend to stick to the review of beauty products that are handmade by the manufacturer from scratch. Every now
and the, however, for one reason or another, I make an exception for products I consider to be very special. This is one of
those products.
I first tried Cowgirl Cream back in 1995. In fact, I still have
the label from the product. I was visiting a friend in Boulder, Colorado (where Cowgirl is headquartered still) and I saw it
on a Wild Oats shelf. A 1 ounce amber bottle containing a blend of handmixed herbs and essential oils that needed to be shaken
before use. This was just what I had always looked for! A product that was truly natural, a "cream" with no emulsifier except for
my elbow grease! It did not disappoint then, and it does not disappoint today. In fact, the ingredients have changed little
even though, due to the company's phenomenal success, Cowgirl Cream is now manufactured by a third party under the direction
of Donna Baase, Cowgirl's president.
I have been using Cowgirl Cream on my now very bulging belly and
there are few things that do a better job at soothing my skin, which is now frequently itchy, stretched, stressed, uncomfortable
and kicked *a lot* from the inside out. My skin saps it up and it feels so great going on. It soothes the itchiness and makes
my skin look radiant and beautiful. As an added bonus, the smell is fantastic also!
Cowgirl Cream contains lavender, geranium
tangerine, ylang ylang and spruce essential oils, along with several herbal extracts, including horsetail, St. John's
wort, and calendula. The base oils of jojoba, sunflower and vitamin E provide a wonderful carrier environment for the essential oils
and herbs. I had used this product on my stomach twice before I removed the label and realized I had used nearly 1/4 of it already
in just 2 sittings!
I'm not cutting back though. Instead, I'm going to buy some more!!

hide" at CowgirlEnterprises.com.
